Britannia Leisure Centre Chooses Technogym Excite Live Line to Engage Community
The Britannia Leisure Centre in Hackney, London, opened its doors to the community.

As well as impressive leisure facilities, the construction style is majestic in scale and aesthetic appeal. The centre is set over four floors and it houses a six-lane swimming pool, a training pool with movable floor and sensory lighting, steam room and sauna; another flagship of Britannia Leisure Centre is its large health and fitness suite with a gym floor, five flexible studio spaces, a six-court indoor sports hall and four squash courts.
Innovation from Technogym
“Partnering with Technogym means that not only does the complete look and feel of the gym suit the ambience and welcoming feel of the facility, but it looks amazing. The equipment functionality really suits all our member demographics whether that be the younger members or those in the 50+ category, we have a great gym floor journey as well as varied product offering to suit all goals and needs” outlines Sera Terry – General Manager.
A gym floor to match the iconic venue
It comes with a starter zone and a large functional zone, followed by a large cardiovascular area and free weights zone. The gym floor is open and spacious in keeping with the style of the rest of the facility, has bright graphics with motivational quotes and has been carefully zoned to create a customer journey and cater for all member groups.
ENGAGEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY
With this goal in mind, the Technogym Live console is the ideal asset: to revolutionise the traditional workout experience combining an easy and immediate on-demand content fruition (TV channels, social networks, Netflix, news, games etc.) with an access to an extensive library of Technogym Sessions, the new on-demand digital workouts (tailored by Technogym trainers) available on all cardio products. In essence, Technogym Live is the perfect tool for retaining members and attracting new ones.
Completely renovating the health and fitness offer has not only brought plenty of positive feedback on the customer side, but it also motivated and brought the work team even closer, as Sera explains. Now trainers are much more inspired and focused on giving to the members the best service possible.
