To ensure the space design matches the professional provision, the award-winning architectural firm LAAB is invited to curate the space use in TP Social Club.
LAAB, collective of 40+ architects, designers, artists, engineers, makers, and sociologists, designed the social spaces, hundreds of suites, and co-curated an art collection featuring Hong Kong artists to create a socially engaging and culturally rich experience. The brief challenged LAAB to design social spaces that create a sense of inclusivity for people with different personalities and moods. LAAB uses a collection of diverse and heterogeneous materials to create spaces that speak to different states of emotion, be it cool, playful, calm, or meditative while satisfying different program needs.
“In the design of TOWNPLACE WEST KOWLOON, we crafted a dual-gym concept—Mindful and the Beast—to address the varied wellness priorities of our young and creative residents. Functional fitness equipment that can integrate seamlessly into the distinctive designs of both gyms is crucial for delivering a diverse yet holistic wellness experience”, stated Mr. Otto Ng – Design Director and Co-Founder of LAAB Architects.
